How did your tattoo feel the first time?
I am getting my first tattoo next week, and im nervous although thats normal but i was wondering what the pain was like to you? I really have a high pain tolerance and if i wanted to i could hit myself in the face and not even flinch, but i wouldnt do that!...anywho, my husband is telling me tattoos KILL, and it will really hurt, do women have a better pain tolerance than men? I have had a lot of piercings and they didnt hurt to me, and some were sharp pain but bearable( like 15ish total! but i didnt keep them all), plus breast surgery and without pain killers and did fine...But i am just really nervous since my husband scared me haha! What do you think, if ive been through surgery and all those piercings do you think this will be really THAT bad for me ? I am getting a tribal on my lower back to be specific...Thanks!
I have many piercings as well, none hurt. Do not listen to the hubby, you sound like a strong woman...breast surgery and no pain killers? You are a tough cookie. If you can handle that I think you will do good. My first tattoo was on my lower back, and I will tell you, it does hurt, but after awhile of me sitting there, about twenty minutes in you go numb. But there are some parts on your back that are going to be a really sharp shooting pain. On your spine, it will kill, and just a couple random spots on the outside of your lower back will make you jump..so be careful not to jump or it will get messed up. My tattoo lasted almost two hours and I sat just fine and it was my first one also. The guy even tried to talk me out of getting one so large for my first one...but I did it anyway. I think you will do good though...don't let your husband try to talk you out of something you really want by trying to scare you.
