what is the most ideal tattoo machine set-up for a beginner?
I'm starting to tattoo- I'm not doing an apprentice at a shop but my friend who works at a shop is teaching me. I've been using one of his set ups and I'd like to get my own so I can get some more practice in before i do apprentice for him.
You're going about it the wrong way, and if your friend who works at the shop keeps teaching you this way, he'll lose his license. Are you really willing to put your friend's livelihood in jeopardy because you want to "practice" before getting an apprenticeship? If you tattoo anyone, YOU'RE breaking the law ass well. Plus, I find this a little bit of bull, if your friend is teaching you, and is licensed, and knows the business, why can't HE tell you what kind of machine to buy? HMMMMMMMM........I smell bull crap.
