how do you get into the tattoo industry?
i have a kit with gun, needles, bands, tubes and a bunch of other stuff. do you have to go to school? what about piercings? school for that too?

Have you ever tattood anyone before? I'm a little confused as to why you've bought a gun at this stage.
But anyway, you need to ask around to see if anyone is offering an apprenticeship. Obviously you'll want to be trained by somebody you think is a good artist.
You'll have to be good at art, good with people and willing to spend a LOT of time sketching, watching people tattoo, and setting up/cleaning up for the artists. Just being in the shop you'll learn a lot of things from watching the artists at work, from consultation through to the actual tattoo and so forth. You'll also probably get chances to practice tattooing on fake skin or pig skin, then you can practise on yourself. Learning to tattoo takes a long time. It's not easy and you have to really want it and have a lot of patience.
