tattoo question. .HELP?
okay so, i got a tattoo on my lower waist. it wasnt done in a studio but with someone who used all the same materials in their house. (yes i understand its dangerous but thats not what im trying to ask so no comments) anyways, when i got it done the first time and it was healing it peeled off in flakes and what was left was a very faded tattoo! the lettering wasn't as bad, but the dove was very gray and faded. so about two weeks later i got the dude to touch it up. it looked better but sure enough after several days the ink scabbed up, peeled off and now it is a gray faded, shitty looking tattoo. i dont want to get it redone again for nothing, can anyone tell me whats wrong with it? i kept A&D on it almost all the time as it was healing and im really upset that i went through all that pain for nothing. i think he used a liner needle to shade the dove in, but i dont know if thats the main problem? pleassse help !?
Sounds like the guy didn't know what he was doing; he skimped on the materials and probably didn't go in deep enough. It warrants repeating: you will have to go to a professional tattoo shop and ask if they can fix it. Since it's already been done twice, there might be some scar tissue so it's no guarantee that they will be able to go over it again. Just go in and talk to a tattoo artist and see what he/she has to say. And if you do get it done again, I must repeat - only use A&D for the first 2-3 days max and then use non-scented lotion.
