my girlfriend found a set of lenox silver plate whic consist of spoon, fork and butter knives. she told me that her grandmother owns it. from 1930's so i am thinking that these might cost a lot. can somebody help me find the price for these pieces? thank you

I've sort of a novice's question. I've recently bought the American version of a Canon (it's the T1i in the US) with the 18-55 kit lens. The lens cover is what came with it. I've never had a camera without a miniature hole in the lens cover in order to attach (via a small cord) the lens cover to the camera, so that you never have to tuck it in the pocket of your knickers but it just hangs (or if you've got a really smart camera, it'll clip underneath the camera when removed).

Why doesn't this have it? Should I just go out and buy a new lens cover with a hole in it? Have you American photographers got some disappearing-lens-cover trick I don't know about?
